We had a sufferfest of a morning. The Berkshires are no joke. The wind had buffeted us and the spitting snow was laughing at us. My poles even broke. It was a morning. My hiking buddy grew up in Berkshire Co but had never been here. My father had lived near by a decade ago and that was the reason that Ye Olde Forge had been a place that I go to after adventures. This is a full service restaurant with ample parking and a huge back deck. The food is plentiful and the beer list is extensive. Get the Buff Orphington Wings!
