For years, literally years, this has been a go to place for after race refueling. Albany has a surprising number of great races and events for a city of her size. Not just the Freihofer's Run For Woman, which is world class, or the Helderberg 2 Hudson Half, which may be my favorite half marathon in the Northeast, but the First Night Last Run 5K and the CDPHP Corporate Challenge as well.

After all of these, you will find people in the patio area drinking beverages, including a great rotating tap list, eating "free" pizza and ordering from the changing gastropub style menu. Parking can be difficult and it is not very dog friendly, but it is a good vibe for after a race or a workout.

It may be basic of me, but I love the Pimento Mac & Cheese. You may want to have someone put in a reservation of grab a table ahead of the group on days that you know it is going to be busy.
