If you are anything like me, you find the best way to discover a new place is on foot. We were staying in the Sandy Hill neighborhood and I wanted to explore a little so I went for a run. Yes, I ended up on Parliament Hill and then ran back through ByWard Market early in the morning. And there is was: a glorious patio. We had to come back, and that we did. It was a lovely spot for people watching, drinking good beer and having great and filling food.

This was pre-COVID-19, so things may have changed but I hope not. When we head north to the Ottawa Half Marathon next year (2023. As I am writing this, the '22 version of the race is in three days), this will be a place to recover and bask in the glory of a great run.

I would plan my parking or use a car service and I am unsure about the puppers.
